Polemarch’s Message

To My Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and Guests:

Welcome to the website of the Jacksonville (FL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.

Our local chapter and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity as a whole has placed increasing emphasis on youth, both our undergraduate members and under-served minority youth in the communities we serve. For 25 consecutive years our local 501(c)3 Foundation (Kappa Alpha Psi Jacksonville Foundation, Inc.) has hosted our Annual Charity Golf Tournament that has financially assisted hundreds of Northeast Florida students who attend college through the scholarships that we distribute annually.

In addition, through our Foundation we host the Annual Healthy Start 5K Run, which brings together hundreds of runners, guests, vendors and health professionals for health screenings, entertainment, fun activities for the kids, and tips on living a healthy lifestyle with the support of our corporate partners and sponsors.

Further, we host a Black and White Ball which is our signature gala for the purposes of raising funds specifically designated for the construction of the Dr. Charles B. McIntosh Community Achievement Center that will enhance the lives of the youth and community in Northwest Jacksonville in particular and the Jacksonville community at large. The Dr. Charles B. McIntosh Community Achievement Center will act as a community outreach center focusing on programs such as Life Skills Training, Financial Literacy, Health Education, Leadership Training and Information Technology.

Finally, we host our Scholarship Presentation which showcases our mentees, scholarship recipients, corporate partners and other individuals that we feel are major contributors to moving the city of Jacksonville and our initiatives forward. We ask Jacksonville’s corporations and organizations to share in our vision of making the Jacksonville, FL communities the very best places to live, work, learn and raise our children.

We hope that this website will continue to be useful to our members as they seek opportunities to participate in our many community-service projects and initiatives. We also hope that others will learn more about our fraternity & local Foundation and the roles we play in the Jacksonville, FL community, our nation and internationally.

If you are affiliated with a corporation or are a corporation that believes in making a difference in Jacksonville, FL and desire to partner with the Jacksonville (FL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi and the Kappa Alpha Psi Jacksonville Foundation, Inc. in its community outreach initiatives, please contact us at info@jacksonvillekappas.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

Respectfully,
